Ontem à noite na Radar. Paço de Arcos, pouco depois das dez da noite.

Andei de carro à noite. Cerca de 30 minutos no total, ida e volta. Já não o fazia sozinho há algum tempo. Para a música, confiei na Radar (ou saí de casa à pressa). Não correu especialmente bem mas foi sempre agradável. Nota para o Verão: a Natalie Merchant tem uma fabulosa voz drive. Vou investigar os discos dos 10.000 Maniacs.

The road on which we’re now driving runs between the Ridgecrest Mall and the Plants. The only natural scenery along the way is a microvalley between two lame hills just past the Ridgecrest Mall, a microvalley known locally as the Onion Canyon after the crop that used to grow there before an auto-mall rezoning both deleted and reformatted the landscape. The road is wide and gently curving; locally we call it Route 666. After the Onion Canyon there’s zero to see until the Plants, a good five or six songs on the tape deck away.
